Enhanced prototype with split left/right channels, session timer + fade-out, a stereo distraction channel including slow waves, and a targeted hearing test that can probe around each ear’s selected tinnitus frequency.
Safety: begin at very low volume, use wired headphones if possible, and stop immediately if anything feels sharp, unpleasant, or makes symptoms worse. This is a self-experiment tool, not a medical device.
This test starts audible and ramps down to silence. Hold Space while you can hear the tone. Release when you lose it. The tool records the level where you let go. It can test a standard set of frequencies or zoom in around the tinnitus frequency you matched for each ear.
If you hear the whole fade in hold mode and never let go, the result is stored as MAX. In tap mode, no tap now also records as MAX. If you never hear a tone, tap as soon as you realise a tone is playing but you cannot hear it, and it will be stored as NH.
